A quick note on VRBO Kapalua rentals
The glamorous resort community of Kapalua is the northernmost destination in West Maui. It’s a low-impact resort and, as a result, the low-rise buildings blend in perfectly with the abundance of natural scenery.
Kapalua stretches from the top of the Puʻu Kukui, the highest mountain peak in Hawaii and one of the wettest places on earth, to the coast. There you’ll find three gorgeous sandy beaches: Kapalua Bay, Fleming Beach, and Oneloa Beach.
Every beach is located within walking distance of one or more resorts, although the walk uphill to the Kaanapali Golf Villas can be quite intensive. The free shared Kapalua shuttle service transports guests between the beaches, the tennis courts, the golf courses, the restaurants, the Honolua Store, and the two Kapalua luxury hotels.
Kapalua is home to just two hotels. The Ritz-Carlton is one of the best family resorts on the island. The three-tiered pool is a perfect playground for young kids but doesn’t have any water slides. The upscale Montage Kapalua Bay makes for a perfect honeymoon retreat.
The main condominium resort is Kaanapali Villas Maui. It consists of three subdivisions: The oceanfront Kaanapali Bay Villas, the ocean-view Kaanapali Ridge Villas, and the golf-view Kaanapali Golf Villas. This is one of the best Kapalua Bay Villas for rent in terms of proximity to Oneloa Beach. The “G” in the unit’s numbering indicates that it’s a ground-floor unit. As a result, you’ll have the added convenience of a private lanai and a small lawn area right outside your door.

The two bedrooms are located on either side of the condo. The master suite has a comfy king bed while the guest suite is equipped with two queen beds. Each bedroom comes with its own small lanai. It’s one of the only Kapalua Villas in Maui with this convenient set-up.
An additional sofa bed can be found in the airy living area. The kitchen comes fully equipped and is supplemented by a separate bar area. The panoramic views top it off nicely.
12. Kapalua Bay Villas – Unit 38G1
One of the most recent Kapalua Maui villas for rent is this stylish ground-floor villa.
It features a spacious living room with plenty of storage and a fully-stocked kitchen with stainless-steel appliances. There’s one luxurious bedroom but there are plenty of extra sleeping arrangements, including a queen sleeper sofa, a twin daybed, and a queen air mattress, to accommodate more guests.
