What sets the 5-star hotels in Maui apart?

Maui offers an exquisite blend of natural beauty, pristine beaches, rich cultural heritage, and captivating attractions. Immerse yourself in stunning vistas of lush rainforests and majestic volcanic landscapes, sink your toes into powdery white sand, dive into turquoise ocean waters, and learn about local culture.

A setting so spectacular calls for an accommodation experience that captures all of these delights. That’s why the five-star resorts in Maui offer an inviting private space to retreat to, delicious island cuisine, wellness treatments that incorporate traditional elements, a glamorous beach setting, lush tropical gardens, and lavish swimming pools. But, most of all, they offer above-and-beyond service that embraces the aloha spirit.

These luxury resorts in Maui allow you to experience the island’s beauty without ever needing to leave your resort. And if you’re eager to explore the island beyond your divine retreat, the highly-trained staff will be delighted to advise on the most comfortable way to reach your destination.

My selection of 5-star Maui hotels

While hotels may advertise themselves as five-star properties, only a select few see this classification confirmed by the two leading rating systems for hotels in the United States: The Forbes Travel Guide and the American Automobile Association.

That’s why I add the latest Forbes star rating and AAA diamond rating for every 5* Maui hotel in this list, in addition to the location, the number of rooms, the resort fee, and parking inclusions.

Every Maui luxury hotel in this list links out to the corresponding listing on Booking.com. Simply read through the details, check the reviews, and set your preferred dates to get an exact breakdown of the costs. If you still like what you see, you can go ahead and make your online booking.

Now, without further ado, here’s my personal selection of the top hotels in Maui.
